Introducing Port Credit Art Tour
Port Credit, ON – Now entering its sixth year, the Mississauga Artisan Studio Tour has morphed into the Port Credit Art Tour to include fine art along with the fine art-based craft that has made the tour the anticipated event it has become. The tour will take place October 24th & 25th, 10 am – 5 pm. More than 20 artists will be presenting their artwork for sale. Another huge change to the tour will be its visibility, walkability and accessibility. The locations hosting the artists are right on Lakeshore Road in Port Credit, clustered in the east, central and west village.
The Port Credit Art Tour is the vision of Marie Payne whose passion is to support and encourage local artists and enable them to stay in the area. As written by Kristy Elik in Mississauga Life magazine, Nov./Dec. ’13, “Payne is an extraordinarily committed animateur”. She is “a gale force in the movement for emerging artists in Port Credit”.
Visitors will receive a “Tour Passport” at their first studio and when they have had it initialled at all locations, they will become eligible for one of several unique and original draw prizes donated by the artists.
All the artists participating in the 2015 tour are listed on our website. Brochures will be available in various locations throughout Mississauga and the surrounding area.

The Port Credit Art Tour highlights and supports local artists living and working in the area. It provides an opportunity for the public to interact directly with the artists. The tour also provides a fabulous opportunity to purchase some truly unique work.

Artisans Open Craft Studios
South Mississauga, along the Lakeshore corridor, will again be the scene of open artisans’ studios.
MISSISSAUGA, ON – Now in its fourth year, the Mississauga Artisan Studio Tour is focused on fine craft; presenting several new local artisans. New venues, along with studios from past years will welcome the public to meet with the makers and learn more about their particular processes. On the weekend of October 26th and 27th, 2013, six different studios will be bursting with more than 20 artisans presenting their latest work. The studios will be open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
Since 2010, the Artisan Studio Tour has arranged to open artist’s studios along the Lakeshore corridor in south Mississauga. The public is invited to wander through the studios, talk with the artists and gain a deeper understanding of the processes involved in the various media. There is absolutely no cost involved. Visitors will discover craft demonstrations involving weaving, pottery, felting, wood carving, rug hooking and much more along the tour route.
