I have always been a very tactile person, and have been enthralled with creating things with my hands from a young age. My life has been a journey, with many moves throughout North America, providing me with challenges and opportunities to learn and grow in my creative capacities. Through experimentation with many art forms–pottery, batik, silk painting, decorative painting, hand embroidery, quilting, and wire working–I somehow arrived at a medium where I feel most comfortable…chainmaille! The challenge of learning ancient weaves, combined with the thrill of creating unique and varied pieces of jewellery from hundreds of round rings, has kept me mesmerized while creating chainmaille jewellery for the past 6 years. I take great pride in creating heirloom quality jewellery in sterling silver, rolled gold, and copper, with a variety of other incorporated elements, including semi-precious stones and glass beads. I hope you enjoy wearing my pieces as much as I enjoy creating them!
I have participated in the Artisan Studio Tour in south Mississauga, and the Arts on the Credit show at the Waterside Inn in Port Credit for the past 4 years.
